A challenge that non-chemical sunscreens have struggled with for years. After five years of development, our proprietary technology has successfully coated the key ingredient "titanium dioxide," which is typically coated with chemicals, with 100% plant-based ingredients.

To address the texture issues, which have been a weakness of UV absorber-free formulations, we have achieved a non-sticky, non-drying, and non-white-casting formula without the use of silicones or other additives.

Why Non-Chemical for Babies and Sensitive Skin?

Highly effective UV care products that are resistant to sweat and water, such as chemical sunscreens, absorb ultraviolet rays and then release them as heat energy, which can burden the skin and occasionally cause irritation for those with sensitive skin. Babies and individuals with sensitive skin, whose skin is thinner and have immature barrier function against external stimuli compared to adults, are more susceptible to the effects of UV rays. Therefore, it is recommended for them to use sunscreen that is free from UV absorbers (non-chemical).

UV absorbers (chemicals)
Ingredients such as ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate and para-aminobenzoic acid convert ultraviolet rays into different forms of energy, such as heat, to prevent the effects of UV radiation.

Non-chemical UV scattering agents
Ingredients such as titanium dioxide and zinc oxide reflect (scatter) ultraviolet rays on the surface of the skin, thereby preventing UV radiation.

Out of 50,000 containers of Non-Chemical UV Milk produced between December 10, 2021, and March 3, 2022, there were 2,880 "defective products with mixed colors" due to container color changeover.

From the perspective of both human and Earth, MammaBaby believes that rather than discarding, these items should be actively utilized. If this standard becomes the new norm, it would be possible to reduce the annual disposal of cosmetic containers by 400 million units in Japan alone*3. As a result, it would lead to a reduction of 41,000 tons of CO2 emissions. Translating this to Japan's population*4, it means saving five containers per person annually.

How to use

Before use, shake the bottle well and dispense a small amount onto your hands. Apply evenly to your face and body. For optimal sun protection, we recommend reapplying every 2-3 hours. After sweating or towel-drying, reapply as needed.

After use, rinse off with your regular body soap.

A. It is fragrance-free.

Q. Does it have an expiration date?
A. If unopened, it has a shelf life of 3 years from the date of manufacture. After opening, it is recommended to use it as soon as possible, aiming for around 2 to 3 months, depending on storage conditions.

The quality of the product may vary depending on the usage and storage conditions. Therefore, if you haven't used the product for a long time after opening it, we recommend using a new product.

Q. My baby licked the product. Is there any problem?
